Fear.

The killer of dreams and the destroyer of hope.

It’s icy grasp choking my voice and blinding me to the indifference I kept between us.

I built my defenses with walls forged from anger.  Using humor as sword and shield I carved a swath to a Pyrrhic victory.  I stood above my foe and laughed as my very soul cried in pain!

I concede!

Rebirth.  I raise from the ashes with new allies.  Wisdom.  Honesty.  Perseverance. Confidence.

Question my honesty? Doubt my integrity? Challenge my faith?

I accept your ignorance as my ally!
